9GG -9HH takes inspiration from the world’s first truly tall building – the Tower of Babylon, which medieval images have interpreted as a spiral structure.
The spiral form of the tower is generated by stacking identical floor plans which have been rotated (by 1.8° per floor) as they rise over 50 floors to achieve a total angle of 180° at the apex. Because the tower has two symmetrical wings around a central core, the resulting form is a double helix. The tower is supported on a podium that has been inspired by the shallow waves of the sea and desert dunes.
Located at the Dubai Marina, the tower houses serviced apartments, duplex units, health centre, a spa, swimming pool, and retail space.
